I don’t post a lot of recipes on the blog, but I wanted to share this sweet, savory sauce you can make with ingredients you likely have on hand if you do any regular cooking in your house.
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic or garlic powder (just sprinkle it in!)
- 3 tsp white sugar
- 2 TB sesame oil
- 2 TB rice vinegar
Directions: Whisk together. Add Sriracha or red pepper flakes for heat.
GRAIN: I served this with soba noodles, which my kids love and they cook 2x as fast as regular pasta!
VEG: I sautéed broccoli and red peppers together in oil with a little garlic in one pan.
PROTEIN: I had leftover rotisserie chicken, but this would be great with tofu, pork, chicken breasts, or anything!
I separated all of the above for the picky eaters in the family (a-hem!) and mixed it all into a bowl for me, heavy on the veg and protein with a few less noodles.
